المستخلص Transaction support is crucial in mobil data management. Specific characteristics of mobile environments (e.g. variable bandwidth, disconnections, and limited resources on mobile hosts) make traditional transaction management techniques no longer appropriate. In this thesis, a new transaction management framework is presented. It aims at enhancing the overall system performance by providing adaptive management of mobile transactions execution and supporting various modes of operations while complying with the imposed mobile environment constrains. The propsed framework provides 2v2pl for concurrency control, client-agent-server architecture for enabling transaction migration, invalidation services (ins) allowing instantaneous commit, early abort and finally partly disconnected operation mode for local transactions. The behavior of the proposed framework is analyzed and evaluated using a simulator that was built for this purpose. |
